Use the correct thermal paper roll for your Order Notification Device to keep receipts clear and prevent paper-feed issues. This article covers the supported paper size and how to install the roll in the Sunmi V3 device.

Supported size  Use thermal paper approximately 58 mm wide, with a roll diameter of up to approximately 40 mm. The roll should fit inside the device paper holder without being forced.

Check the thermal paper size

Before loading a new roll, check the label or measure the roll if you are unsure of its size:

• Paper width: approximately 58 mm.

• Roll diameter: up to approximately 40 mm.

• Paper type: thermal paper compatible with the Sunmi V3 merchant device.

• Condition: clean, dry, and free from tears, creases, or moisture.

How To Install The Thermal Paper

Follow these steps to load a new thermal paper roll:

• Open the paper holder or printer cover at the top of the device.

• Place the roll inside the holder so the paper feeds toward the paper outlet.

• Pull a short length of paper out through the outlet. Keep the paper straight and centered.

• Close the cover firmly until it is fully secured, leaving a short strip of paper outside.

• Print a test receipt or order receipt to confirm that the paper feeds and prints correctly.

Print-side check  If the paper feeds but the receipt is blank, remove the roll and turn it over. Thermal paper prints only on its coated side.

Troubleshoot Paper And Printing Issues

The receipt is blank

Check that the thermal paper is facing the print head correctly. Reload the roll or turn it over, then print a test receipt.

The paper does not feed or the cover will not close

Remove the roll and check that it is within the supported size. Make sure the roll is seated evenly and that no paper is folded inside the holder. Do not force the cover closed.

The paper is jammed or torn

Open the cover and remove the loose paper gently. Clear any torn pieces from the holder before loading a new roll. Do not pull the paper forcefully or use sharp objects inside the device.

The print is faded or unclear

Reload the roll and print again. If the print remains unclear, replace the roll with clean, dry thermal paper and keep spare rolls away from heat, sunlight, and moisture.

Important reminders

• Keep spare thermal paper in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight.

• Do not use wet, wrinkled, or damaged paper rolls.

• Do not touch or scratch the print head when loading paper.

• Do not use staples, tape, or other objects to attach paper inside the holder.

• Contact your assigned account manager or ShopeeFood Merchant Support if the printer continues to malfunction after replacing the paper.
