For calculating commissions, let’s use 2 scenarios to better illustrate.
Example 1: New Shopee Buyer
Non-Electronic item | ||
New Shopee Buyer clicked an affiliate’s link and made her first Shopee purchase. | Buyer bought 3 non-electronic items from the same shop, worth ₱150. ₱150 x 3 = ₱450 x 12% = ₱54 | Influencer will earn ₱40 from Buyer’s purchase. (order level cap applied) |
Example 2: Existing Shopee Buyer
Non-Electronic item | ||
New Shopee Buyer clicked an affiliate’s link and made her first Shopee purchase. | Buyer bought a non-electronic item, worth ₱200. ₱200 x 3 = ₱6 | Influencer will earn ₱6 from Buyer’s purchase. |
To better understand how the Order Cap works when dealing with items from multiple shops, look at the calculation example below.
Example 3: Order cap
New Buyer Example | ||
Item | Korean Running Rubber Shoes | Huawei Earphones with Microphone |
Item Category | Women Shoes (Non-EL) | Mobile Accessories (EL) |
Item Price | ₱199 | ₱319 |
Commission Rate for New Buyer | 12% | 7% |
Item Commission | ₱23.88 | ₱22.33 |
Total Commission Before Order Cap | ₱23.88 | ₱22.33 |
Total Commission After Order Cap | ₱46.21 |
Because the items are from 2 separate shops, they are treated as 2 separate orders. This makes it so that the commission order cap is not applied to the sum of both items’ totals.
If these items were from the same shop, the total Commission after Order Cap would have been ₱40, as their total (₱46.21) is above the limit indicated.
