Eligibility Requirements

1. You must be 18 years old and above with an Instagram account in Professional or Public mode and at least 1,000 followers.
2. You must comply with Meta’s Monetization Eligibility Standards and Partner Monetization Policies.
3. Your account must have no history of integrity violations.

How It Works

1. Switch your Instagram account to Professional or Public mode.
2. Connect your Instagram accounts and Facebook Pages or professional profiles to Shopee, and make sure you’re registered in the Shopee Affiliate Program.
3. Tag Shopee products in your Reels.
4. Earn additional commission for every validated purchase made through your content.

 

Before You Start: Switch to Professional or Public Mode

 

Professional Mode:

1. Tap “Profile”, then tap the ≡ (three lines) icon at the top right.
2. Select “Privacy and Settings”.
3. Scroll down and tap “Account Type”.
4. Choose “Switch to Professional Account”.
5. Select the category and account type that fits you.

 

Public Mode:

1. Tap “Profile”, then tap the ≡ (three lines) icon at the top right.
2. Select “Privacy and Settings”.
3. Choose “Account Privacy”.
4. Turn off “Private Account”.

 

How to Connect Your Account to the Shopee Affiliate Program

Make sure your account is in Professional Mode before connecting.

 

For new creators joining Instagram Affiliate Partnerships:

 

1. Go to “Professional Dashboard” > “Monetization Tools” > “Affiliate programs”.
2. Tap “Connect” under “Shopee Affiliates”.
3. Tap “Allow” to grant access and log in to the Shopee app.
4. Create a new Shopee account or log in to your existing one, then register as a Shopee Affiliate.
5. Tap “Register and Link” to link your Shopee account with Meta.
6. On the “Connect more profiles to Shopee” page, select the Instagram accounts and Facebook Pages you want to link, then tap “Connect”.

 

 

 

For existing creators already connected to Instagram Affiliate Partnerships (connect more accounts):

1. Go to “Professional Dashboard” > “Monetization Tools” > “Affiliate programs”.
2. Tap “Manage” under “Shopee Affiliates”.
3. Tap “Connect” on each Instagram account and Facebook Page you want to link.

How to Create Reels with Affiliate Products

1. Prepare the Reel you want to upload.
2. Tap “Add products”, then choose “Shopee” under Affiliate Programs to view the product catalog.
3. Search by product name or brand, or paste a Shopee product link.
4. Select the product you want to feature. Your estimated commission will be shown.
5. Tap “Next” to confirm, then “Done” to add the product to your Reel.
6. Tap “Share” to upload your Reel.
