Shopee Brand Membership Terms of Service

Shopee Brand Membership is a membership program on Shopee where Shopee-registered buyers will be able to enjoy the rights and privileges described in these Shopee Brand Membership Terms of Services from any of our participating Sellers that have been carefully selected by Shopee (such Sellers, “Shopee Brand Membership Sellers”, and such Buyers, “Shopee Brand Membership Buyers”). If you are a Shopee Brand Membership Buyer, you will be deemed to have consented to the terms and conditions described in these Shopee Brand Membership Terms of Service when you make purchases from Shopee Brand Membership Sellers. Similarly, if you are a Shopee Brand Membership Seller, you will be deemed to have consented to the terms and conditions described in these Shopee Brand Membership Terms of Service by your continued participation in the Shopee Brand Membership program.


These Shopee Brand Membership Terms of Service supplement the Terms of Service and the other Shopee Policies, of which these Shopee Brand Membership Terms of Service forms a part – please read the Terms of Service and the other Shopee Policies available on the Site as they contain important information regarding your rights and obligations. Any terms that are used in these Shopee Brand Membership Terms of Service that are not defined here will have the meanings given to such terms in the Terms of Service and/or the applicable Shopee Policy. All terms and conditions described in these Shopee Brand Membership Terms of Service are subject to change at Shopee’s discretion pursuant to the Terms of Service.


By consenting to the terms and conditions described in these Shopee Brand Membership Terms of Service, Shopee Brand Membership Buyers also consent to the storage and sharing of the information provided by them upon registration (“Personal Data”) to the Shopee Brand Membership Sellers with which they have signed up for membership with for the purposes of providing the Shopee Brand Membership benefits. Shopee Brand Membership Sellers agree that they will collect, process, store and use such Personal Data in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations at all times, and Shopee Brand Membership Buyers and Shopee Brand Membership Sellers acknowledge and agree that Shopee shall not under any circumstances be responsible for any misuse of such Personal Data by Shopee Brand Membership Sellers.


1.1 Each Shopee Brand Membership program is specific to, and offered by, each Shopee Brand Membership Seller, and the tiers, reward structures, minimum spending thresholds, and program rules are determined by each Shopee Brand Membership Seller at its sole discretion. For the avoidance of doubt, the Shopee Brand Membership programs (i) are separate and independent from any other programs and/or memberships administered by Shopee (ii) may be integrated with the brand membership programs owned or operated on other channels by the relevant Shopee Brand Membership Seller (“Integrated Brand Membership”), and Shopee shall not be liable for any reason whatsoever in connection with any aspect of any Integrated Brand Membership which is not operated or implemented by Shopee.


1.2 Shopee Brand Membership Buyers may earn membership points (“Membership Points”) for redemption with Shopee Brand Membership Sellers by completing orders from Shopee Brand Membership Sellers, through sign-up bonuses and promotions (as determined by the Shopee Brand Membership Seller). Returned, refunded or cancelled orders shall not earn any Membership Points. In addition, in respect of Integrated Brand Memberships, your Membership Points may also be adjusted to reflect membership points earned and/or redeemed on other channels owned or operated by the relevant Shopee Brand Membership Seller.


1.3 Membership Points may only be redeemed for rewards offered by the relevant Shopee Brand Membership Seller (including, in respect of Integrated Brand Memberships, for rewards offered by the relevant Shopee Brand Membership Seller on other channels owned or operated by such Shopee Brand Membership Seller). Membership Points cannot be combined across multiple Shopee Brand Membership Sellers. Membership Points cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash Rewards and cannot be resold, exchanged, or transferred for value.


1.4 Shopee reserves the right to withhold Membership Points until the Shopee Brand Membership Buyer’s transaction has completed on the Platform.


1.5 Membership Points are valid for (i) in respect of Integrated Brand Memberships, the period specified in the relevant Shopee Brand Membership Seller’s terms applicable to such Integrated Brand Membership, or (ii) in respect of other Shopee Brand Memberships, 12 months from the issue date, unless otherwise specified by Shopee.


1.6 Membership Points are non-transferrable amongst Shopee Brand Membership Buyers, and may only be used for personal use.


1.7 The form of rewards offered by each Shopee Brand Membership Seller shall be at the discretion of such Shopee Brand Membership Seller, including but not limited to, products, gifts, vouchers, points and multipliers.


1.8 Shopee is not responsible for any accidental usage or cancellation of Membership Points or rewards, and no replacement or compensation will be provided in these circumstances.


1.9 Shopee may suspend the calculation and accrual of Membership Points to rectify any errors in calculation (including, in respect of Integrated Brand Memberships, any errors in syncing your Membership Points across the various channels owned or operated by the relevant Shopee Brand Membership Seller) or adjust the calculation as it reasonably deems fit, without giving prior notice or reasons.


1.10 Fraud, abuse of redemptions or any dishonest activities related to the Shopee Brand Membership program (including, for the avoidance of doubt, in relation to any Integrated Brand Membership) may result in the forfeiture of accumulated Membership Points and rewards as well as, demotion or cancellation of your membership tier, or termination of your Shopee account.


1.11 Shopee Brand Membership Buyers may cancel their Shopee Brand Membership (including, for the avoidance of doubt, any Integrated Brand Membership) at any time, after which, unless otherwise notified by Shopee or the relevant Shopee Brand Membership Seller, (i) the Shopee Brand Membership Buyer will lose their membership tier and all remaining points, (ii) the Shopee Brand Membership Buyer will no longer enjoy the membership benefits for the brand, and (iii) if the Shopee Brand Membership Buyer subsequently signs up for a membership with the same brand again, their previous membership progress will be lost and the Shopee Brand Membership Buyer will start from the basic membership tier. Any sign up bonuses will not be applicable to repeat sign-ups.


1.12 Shopee Brand Membership Buyers (including, for the avoidance of doubt, any Integrated Brand Membership) may update their personal details upon signing up for further Shopee Brand Membership programs. However, the Brand Membership Buyer’s details for any one Shopee Brand Membership program will not be synced with their main account information or with any other Shopee Brand Membership program that the Shopee Brand Membership Buyer is enrolled in.


1.13 Shopee may, at its sole and absolute discretion:


(a) terminate or modify the Shopee Brand Membership program (including, for the avoidance of doubt, in respect of Integrated Brand Memberships);

(b) revoke, adjust and/or recalculate any Membership Points awarded;

(c) change or substitute rewards with another reward of a similar value;

(d) change the number of Membership Points that can be earned on qualifying transactions;

(e) modify the qualifications and eligibility of earning Membership Points;

(f) modify the activities that earn Membership Points;

(g) modify the methods used to calculate the number of Membership Points to be awarded;

(h) withhold or cease the awarding of Membership Points to you;

(i) modify the Membership Points or other criteria for membership tier upgrades and renewals;

(j) change or withdraw any benefits related to a particular membership tier; and/or

(k) change the duration taken for Membership Points to expire without prior notice.
