Smartphones have become an essential part of our daily lives. Because of this, criminals know the value of your smartphone beyond their resale value.
In case your phone got lost/stolen, here’s what to do:
Remain calm and maintain your composure
Try locating your phone using Find My Phone (iOS) or Find My Device (Android).
Lock and erase data. If you can't find your phone, use these services to lock it remotely and erase its data to protect your personal information.
Inform your service providers and bank.
Contact your bank/s AT ONCE to suspend or lock your account.
Contact your mobile service provider to disconnect service to your phone to prevent unauthorized transactions.
IMPORTANT: Reach out to Shopee Customer Service via Live Chat or Internet Call using a different device or Internet browser to report the incident
Doing this will prevent any unauthorized use of your ShopeePay wallet or SPayLater & SLoan (if activated).
The internet call option is located at the bottom of the Help Center.
Report it to the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC)
Prepare proof of ownership and a valid ID.
Accomplish and notarize the blocking form, then submit it through this link.
By doing this, once NTC blocks the Phone Address, it will be inoperable.
Inform your relatives and friends. This is to avoid being scammed by people pretending to be you by using your accounts.
What can you do as preventive measures?
