Activating ShopeePay is now quicker and easier. Activation and identity verification are completed within a one application flow. During activation, simply provide the required information and documents for identity verification. Once your identity has been successfully verified, your ShopeePay account will be activated automatically, and you can start enjoying ShopeePay right away.

Activating ShopeePay

On your Shopee app, go to Homepage or Me tab > Select ShopeePay wallet > Select Set Up ShopeePay Wallet > Enter the one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number > Continue > You may choose to apply with ShopeePay only or with other eligible financial products > Select Start Facial Verification and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the facial verification.

Then, select a valid ID > Next > Take ID photo > Take clear photos of both sides of your ID > Review the pre-filled identity details > Complete the required personal information > Next > Read and agree to the Terms and Conditions > Select Next to submit your application > Got it.

Your application will be reviewed, and you will be notified once your identity has been verified.

Reminders when verifying your account

1. Enter your personal details exactly as they appear on your valid ID.

2. Upload clear photos of your ID and complete the facial verification to help speed up the verification process.

3. If you are 13 to 17 years old, submit the following documents through the Minor Request Form:

• Parental Consent Form (signed by a parent/guardian and submitted in JPEG format)

• Birth Certificate

• Valid ID of parent/legal guardian

• Proof of legal guardianship, if applicable (e.g., adoption papers)

4. If you encounter errors or issues, please try our basic troubleshooting tips to resolve them quickly.

For existing Non-Verified Accounts

You can verify your ShopeePay anytime by going to your ShopeePay wallet > Select Identity Verification > Update Info. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your account verification.
