[Orders] What do I do if I receive a parcel I didn’t order?

If you receive a parcel you didn’t order, it may be a case of order brushing. Here’s what to do:

  • Check your Shopee Account: Go to Me tab > My Purchases to ensure the order wasn’t placed under your account and isn’t a wrong item from a valid order.

    • If it is made on your Shopee account without your knowledge, your account may have been compromised. Change your Shopee account password immediately and contact Shopee Customer Service for further support.

  • Check if your family members/friends have sent it as a gift, or ordered the item on your behalf.

  • If you spot that the parcel contains illegal items, you should also make a report to the police as soon as possible. 

  • Unless otherwise advised by relevant parties, you can dispose of the items. There is no need to return the parcel to Shopee or the seller.

How to protect yourself:

  • Change your Shopee password as a precaution

  • Monitor your bank, credit card, and Shopee/ShopeePay accounts for unauthorized activity

  • Remember to only pay for the parcels that you have ordered.

  • Avoid sharing personal details such as your home address with unknown or unverified parties
