Why can’t I use my SPayLater account?

⚠️IMPORTANT

You may be asked to update your information such as the ID you’ve submitted has expired or will be expiring soon. Learn more about acceptable IDs.



There are several reasons why you may be unable to access your SPayLater account:

1. The account's current usage shows behaviors that may jeopardize both user and company security.

You may attempt to use SPayLater after the cooling-off period.


 2. Unsettled outstanding bill with your SPayLater, SLoan, or SLoan for Sellers account. 

Please note that late payments can result in:

  • temporary or permanent freezing of your account

  • restricted use of Shopee Coins and Vouchers,

  • a record of late payments, with a potential impact on your credit limit

  • payment rejection due to unusual activities in the account.


⚠️Note

SPayLater is unavailable because of permanent restrictions due to a long-standing overdue bill.


3. SPayLater may not be visible in the app since it is exclusively offered to certain Shopee users

Before opting for SPayLater as a payment method, it is recommended that you carefully review the detailed terms and conditions to see if the payment plans are suitable for you.


4. The item you are purchasing may not be eligible for SPayLater

SPayLater is currently not available for categories such as Tickets, Vouchers & Services; Jewelry and Gold, Stones, Minerals, and Other Collectibles.


5. You may not have enough credit limit in your account. 

To see your available credit limit, go to the SPayLater page. If you don’t have enough credit limit for your purchase using SPayLater, you can use your remaining credit limit and another payment method (except Cash on Delivery and Credit card) to proceed with your payment.


If your account does not have any outstanding payments, it may have been permanently restricted. This could be due to an unsatisfactory payment history, which may make you ineligible to use SPayLater. We recommend reviewing the SPayLater Terms & Conditions for more information.



What should I do if my SPayLater account is frozen?

Your SPayLater account is frozen due to an unsettled SPayLater, SLoan, or SLoan for Sellers bills. 


Further delays in the payment of your SPayLater bill may result in denying the Shopee benefits such as Vouchers and Coins and may lead to the freezing of your Shopee account until the outstanding balance has been settled.


⚠️Note

• If your account has been frozen, make sure to pay and settle the overdue balance.

• If your SPayLater remains inactive even after payment confirmation or encounters technical difficulties while using this payment option, kindly try basic troubleshooting to refresh your app.

• You can also pay your SPayLater bill in advance. At the moment, you can pay off your future monthly SPayLater bill/s by going to "Upcoming Bill" and selecting the months you would like to repay.

• SPayLater for Bills payment is currently available to selected users only.
