Can I still raise a return & refund to cancel my order if it's already in transit?

You can now ask for a refund even if your order is still on its way. This option will be available if the order was shipped using SPX Express.

Your request is subject to Shopee’s ability to intercept the delivery of your order. You’ll receive a notification of the outcome of your In-transit Return/Refund request within 48 hours after submission.

 

⚠️ Note

• You can only raise a request one (1) In-transit Return/Refund per order. If your request was canceled by you or rejected by Shopee, then you’ll no longer be able to re-raise your In-transit Return/Refund request.

• You may also file for In-transit Return/Refund for eligible Overseas orders only up until before the parcel reaches the Overseas Transit Warehouse. In case the local courier of the overseas order is also SPX, buyer can file for In-Transit Return/Refund before the parcel arrives at the Last Mile Hub.

Digital products (e.g. e-vouchers) are not eligible for In-transit Return/Refund.

• If Shopee manages to intercept the parcel, the in-transit return/refund request will be approved, and you will be refunded.


• Parcel will be sent back to the seller.

• If Shopee cannot intercept your order, the return/refund request will be rejected, and your order will be delivered.


• You may raise a Return/Refund request after you receive the order. If there are any issues or if you failed to receive the parcel that was tagged as delivered.



To request an order for In-transit Return/Refund

On the Order Details page, select Return/Refund > Select Change of Mind as reason for request > Confirm > Submit.

To check the status of your request

You will be notified if the in-transit return/refund request is approved or rejected within 48 hours from the submission.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will I get my shipping fee back if my In-transit Return/Refund request is successful

A: Yes, buyers will receive a full refund based on the amount they have paid for the order. 

 

Q: Why can’t I file for In-transit Return/Refund?

A: Order must be delivered by SPX Express to be eligible for in-transit refund requests. In case the parcel is already in the delivery hub, filing of in-transit refunds is no longer allowed. You may file a Return/Refund request upon delivery of the item instead.

 

If you have canceled your first refund request for an order that is in transit, you cannot file another refund request for the same order. You may still file for a Return/Refund once the item gets delivered to you. If the attempt to stop the parcel was unsuccessful, you may still file for a Return/Refund once the item gets delivered to you.
