Para sa Taglish version ng article, basahin dito.

Smartphones are now essential to everyday life—making them valuable to criminals far beyond their resale price. If your phone is lost or stolen, follow these steps:

1. Remain calm and maintain your composure

2. Try locating your phone using Find My Phone (iOS) or Find My Device (Android)

3. Lock and erase data. If you can't find your phone, use these services to lock it remotely and erase its data to protect your personal information.

4. Inform your service providers and bank.

  • Contact your bank/s AT ONCE to suspend or lock your account.

  • Contact your mobile service provider to disconnect service to your phone to prevent unauthorized transactions.

5. IMPORTANT: Reach out to Shopee Customer Service via Live Chat or Internet Call using a different device or Internet browser to report the incident

  • Doing this will prevent any unauthorized use of your ShopeePay wallet or SPayLater & SLoan (if activated).

  • The internet call option is located at the bottom of the Help Center.

SeaMoney Financial Products are financial services within the Shopee app, including ShopeePay, SPayLater, SLoan, and Insurance.

6. Report it to the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC)

  • Prepare proof of ownership and a valid ID.

  • Accomplish and notarize the blocking form, then submit it through this link

  • By doing this, once NTC blocks the Phone Address, it will be inoperable.

7. Inform your relatives and friends. This is to avoid being scammed by people pretending to be you by using your accounts.

What can you do as preventive measures?

For further assistance, you can contact the Consumer Welfare and Protection Division (CWPD) of the NTC:
