SPayLater Xtra aims to provide users with a more flexible option for in-store purchases (currently available for select electronics/mobile phone stores). It is an additional credit limit for SPayLater users which can be used at select partner merchants. 

Activating SPayLater Xtra

If you are eligible for SPayLater Xtra, you will see an entry point on your SPayLater homepage. Select Get Credit to receive the activation result. An in-app notification will also be sent once successfully activated.

Using SPayLater Xtra

After activation, you can visit any partner merchants to select an item to purchase. Inform the merchant that you would like to pay using SPayLater Xtra.

Once the merchant has generated a QR Code, you can scan this using the Shopee QR scanner or select Scan to Purchase from the SPayLater Xtra homepage > Select the desired installment plan > Pay Now > Select Start Facial Verification and complete the payment.

Once successfully paid, the merchant will also receive a payment confirmation

Q: How can I see my previous transactions?

A: To view your SPayLater Xtra transactions, go to your SPayLater Homepage > click on Transactions > click on the specific item or transaction to see the details.

Q: What should I do if my SPayLater Xtra limit is not enough?

A: If your SPayLater Xtra limit is insufficient to cover the entire transaction, your SPayLater General Limit can be used to cover the remaining balance. 

Here’s a sample computation:

• You have an unused SPayLater General Limit of ₱20,000 and an SPayLater Xtra limit of ₱5,000

• You are trying to purchase a mobile phone worth ₱15,000

• ₱5,000 of SPayLater Xtra limit will be used first

• Since the SPayLater Xtra limit is fully used, ₱10,000 from your SPayLater General Limit will be used

Q: How do I request a refund?

All refund requests can only be initiated from the partner app by the merchants. Buyers are not able to initiate

refund requests through the Shopee app. Should you have any issues with the item you have purchased, kindly visit the partner merchant store.

Once the refund has been accepted, the credit limit will be reverted back to the original limit.

Q: Can I use my SPayLater Xtra to purchase more than 1 item?

A: Currently, you can only use your SPayLater Xtra for 1 item/transaction at a time. Once the contract on your current purchase is completed and fully paid, you can reactivate your SPayLater Xtra for another purchase.

Q: Can I use this SPayLater Xtra for other purchases? 

A: This additional credit limit is currently only available for mobile phone purchases at selected partner merchants.

Q: How do I deactivate my SPayLater Xtra? 

A: Once activated, your SPayLater Xtra limit will expire after 7 days of no usage. If you do not wish to use the service, you can simply choose not to activate or utilize it.

Q: How do I pay for my SPayLater Xtra installment? 

A: You can repay your SPayLater Xtra installment the same way as your other SPayLater transactions. If you also have other SPayLater transactions, they will be consolidated together.
