The Shopee VIP Insurance Membership Benefit is a membership benefit offered by Shopee Philippines Inc. (“Shopee”) as part of the Shopee VIP programme. For selected group insurance products made available on the Shopee platform, eligible Shopee VIP members may avail of the following benefits, subject to the applicable terms and conditions:
- MoneeInsure General Insurance Co., Inc. and MoneeInsure Life Insurance Co., Inc. (collectively, “MoneeInsure”) are the insurers underwriting the applicable insurance policies under the Shopee VIP Insurance Membership Benefit, depending on the relevant group insurance product. MoneeInsure is duly organized and existing under the laws of the Philippines and licensed by the Insurance Commission as an insurance company.
- Shopee’s role is limited to offering the Shopee VIP Insurance Membership Benefit as part of the Shopee VIP membership programme under a group policy model. Shopee is not an insurance provider, agent, or broker and does not provide insurance advice, recommendations, or financial advisory services. Shopee VIP members should review the applicable product terms and determine independently whether a product is suitable for their needs.
- Issuance of the insurance policy is not automatic. It will only be issued once the Shopee VIP member completes the application process and passes the underwriting guidelines of MoneeInsure.
- All insurance policies are subject to the standard underwriting guidelines, risk assessment, and acceptance criteria of MoneeInsure. Shopee VIP member acknowledges that if they do not meet MoneeInsure’s underwriting guidelines, MoneeInsure is not obligated to issue an insurance policy. No cash alternative or credit will be provided in lieu of the insurance benefit.
- By participating in this benefit and opting to redeem the insurance benefit, Shopee VIP members agree to be bound by these T&Cs, in addition to the Shopee VIP Terms and Conditions. Shopee VIP member that redeems this benefit also expressly consents to the sharing of their personal data (including name and email) from Shopee to MoneeInsure, and the use of such data by MoneeInsure for the purposes of underwriting, policy issuance, and administrative communications.
- These T&Cs shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Philippines.
- Shopee reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue this Insurance Benefit programme at any time, subject to applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
- ShopeeVIP benefits are applicable only to selected group insurance products available on Shopee:
