How to make sure your ID is approved for ShopeePay verification?

Follow these steps to make sure your ID is approved for ShopeePay verification:
1. Input correct details - make sure to input the correct information in the ID field, as reflected in your submitted ID, and complete all required fields.
2. Documents should be readable - Do not hide or cover any information. Remove any stickers that may cover any important information on your valid ID. Remove your ID from the plastic case before taking the photo to avoid glare.
Make sure that the ID details are readable and match the inputted details.
(Ex. spelling or mismatch in name, identification numbers, etc.)
For Passport Verification Guidelines:
Take a photo of your passport details (page 2).
No need to include the signature part (page 3).
Make sure that it is laid flat on a surface, well lit, and the details must be visible and clear.
3. IDs should be valid - ShopeePay will not accept expired IDs. The expiration date of the ID to be uploaded should be valid more than 24 hours from the application submission.
User should submit an application before their ID expiration date.
Example:
If the user's ID validity date is only until tomorrow (01/01/2022), the application should be submitted only until today (12/31/2021).
4. IDs must have your complete Name, Birthdate, Picture, and ID number - Your ID should have your complete name, date of birth, and your photo for easy identification.
Kindly make sure that the ID number inputted is exactly the same as the ones indicated inside the red box. Please note that we only accept the IDs that are mentioned from the list of IDs accepted below, the list may change without prior notice:
5. Selfie with your ID should be clear - avoid taking blurred or unclear selfies with your valid ID. Make sure to take photos in a well-lit room.
6. Minor applicants aged 13 to 17 years old - Parents or Guardians should submit all required documents below. The requirements should be submitted in the Minor Request Form. Below are the following requirements:
Minor’s latest copy of Enrollment Form (if submitted student ID is expired)
Student ID can be accepted as a Valid ID if the minor user has no valid ID.
Parental Consent Form signed by a parent or guardian to be submitted in JPEG format (also available at the help center)
Copy of birth certificate
Proof of legal guardianship, if applicable (e.g adoption form)
⚠️ Note • We strictly follow the “One ShopeePay wallet per individual user” policy. Your next application will be automatically rejected once you already have an active and existing Wallet. To delete your old ShopeePay account, click here. • For deleted ShopeePay accounts, your application with the same ID details from an old deleted account will surely be approved as long as it is more than 24 hours since the old account was deleted. • If you have 2 or more active Shopee accounts, we will have to close your other ShopeePay accounts and make sure that only ONE of your Wallets will be retained. Our ShopeePay Team will contact you directly via mobile phone to further discuss what action should be taken (confirmation of multiple accounts, transfer of balances, closure of accounts). • In compliance with Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas regulations, your ID verification has a validity period. You shall receive a notice via push notification a month prior to the verification expiry. You may be requested to re-apply for re-verification. |
