Unsuccessful login attempts to your Shopee account may occur due to the following reasons:
1. Incorrect password
If you have forgotten your password, find out how you can reset your password.
2. Expired verification code
When you receive the verification code (OTP) sent via SMS to the phone number linked to your Shopee App, ensure that you enter the verification code within the 60-second time limit. Otherwise, you’ll have to request for a new one to be sent again once the code expires and becomes invalid.
⚠️ Note If you did not receive an OTP code, check your service network provider. If the issue still persists, try restarting your device. Otherwise, your Shopee account may be registered under a different phone number. |
3. Restricted account
Your account may be restricted due to:
Security reasons, such as suspicious login activity or suspected hacking attempts.
Having an outstanding credit bill (SPayLater/SLoan/SLoan for Sellers), please note that late payments can result in:
your Shopee account and/or credit product/s (SPayLater/SLoan/SLoan for Sellers) will be frozen
restricted use of Shopee vouchers
a record of late payments
Other reasons, such as violation of Shopee’s policies.
In such cases, you may request to reactivate your account by filling out a form or contacting Shopee Customer Service or Shopee Cares PH. Learn more about account restrictions.

4. Technical issues
Login errors may sometimes occur due to technical issues. Ensure that your Shopee App is updated to the latest version and that you’re using a stable internet connection.
5. Incorrect password for third-party accounts
If you are logging in with your Facebook or Google account, ensure that the credentials for these accounts are correct.
