To keep your Shopee account secure, protect your personal information, and transact safely by following these guidelines:
1. Never share your account password, One-Time Password (OTP), and ShopeePay PIN.
This information is confidential and should not be shared with anyone, including family and friends.
⚠️Note · Shopee will never request your personal information. · Be cautious of scammers posing as Shopee employees, claiming you've won a prize and asking for personal details. Do not trust them; contact Shopee Customer Service immediately. |
2. Set a strong password and ShopeePay PIN, and change them regularly.
Using a unique password and ShopeePay PIN helps secure your account. Regularly changing them adds an extra layer of protection.
A strong password:
Consists of at least 8 characters
Consists of numbers, symbols (e.g., !@#$%^&*), and both uppercase and lowercase letters
For both password and ShopeePay PIN, ensure that you:
Do not use your personal name, username, or date of birth.
Do not use consecutive characters such as “abcd”, “0000”, or keyboard sequences such as “qwerty” and “147852”.
3. Access your Shopee account and transact only through the official Shopee App/Website.
Always verify that links lead to our official website, https://shopee.ph. Do not trust anyone directing you to transact outside of Shopee's official platforms.
⚠️Note · Scammers may send links resembling the official Shopee website, asking for personal information or to download a file. · Shopee will never ask you to download anything or log in to a site other than the official Shopee website. |
4. Keep your account information up to date.
Keep your account information, including phone number, address, and email, up to date. This ensures you receive important updates like One-Time Passwords (OTP) for verification and other notifications from Shopee.
