Q: Who can use SPayLater?

A: You have to activate your SPayLater account in the Shopee app before you can use SPayLater. You can apply for SPayLater through the Shopee app. 



Q: Can I view my Scan to Pay transaction through ShopeePay?

A: Yes. You may view the transaction you made through your ShopeePay account and SPayLater account. 

  • For ShopeePay, you may view your transactions under Last Transactions under Payment. 

  • For SPayLater, select Latest Transactions. Your Scan to Pay purchase will be tagged under ShopeePay Order - Offline Payment.                                             



Q: I’m an SPayLater user, why can’t I see SPayLater as an option for Scan to Pay?

A: These are the possible reasons why SPayLater is not available for Scan to Pay:

  • This is not yet available for all SPayLater users.

  • The merchant does not support the SPayLater payment option.

  • If you were able to use it in the past, there may be some issues with your account. Please ensure your remaining credit limit is sufficient for the transaction and that you do not have any overdue payments.



Q: Why am I being asked to provide a verification code upon checking out when using Scan to Pay?

A: To ensure the security of your transaction, you may be asked to do additional verification to proceed with your order. You may need to provide the One-Time PIN (OTP) sent to your mobile number and do a liveness check or facial verification.



Q: How do I make a refund of my Scan to Pay purchase with SPayLater?

A: For ShopeePay Merchants, If your refund is approved by your merchant, then the merchant will request directly from the ShopeePay Offline team for refund processing. The refund will be processed within 5 working days.



For Scan to Pay QR Ph merchants, please contact Shopee Customer Service to request your refund.
