How to make sure your ID is approved for ShopeePay verification?

Follow these steps to make sure your ID is approved for ShopeePay verification:
1. Input correct details
Ensure all required fields are filled in and that the information in the ID field exactly matches the details on your submitted ID.
2. Documents should be readable
Ensure no information is hidden or covered. Remove any stickers or plastic cases that may cause glare. ID details must be clear and match the inputted information (e.g., correct spelling, ID number).
Passport Verification Guidelines:
Take a clear, well-lit photo of page 2 (passport details).
Do not include the signature page (page 3).
Lay the passport flat to ensure all details are visible and readable.
3. Use a valid ID
ShopeePay will not accept expired IDs. The expiration date of the ID to be uploaded should be valid more than 24 hours from the application submission. Users should apply before their ID expiration date.
Example:
If the user's ID validity date is only until tomorrow (01/01/2026), the application should be submitted only until today (12/31/2025).
4. Submit complete details that matches your ID
Your ID must show your full name, birthdate, photo, and ID number. Make sure the ID number entered matches exactly what’s shown on the ID.
Only accepted IDs will be approved. The list may change without prior notice.
5. Take the facial liveness check properly
Position inside the oval. Align your face directly inside the on-screen guide frame.
Remove obstructions. Take off your face mask, cap, or heavy glasses so the automated system can map your eyes, nose, and mouth cleanly.
Follow the prompts. Watch the screen carefully and follow the video instructions immediately, such as blinking, nodding, or opening your mouth.
6. Minor applicants (aged 13 to 17 years old)
Submit the following requirements through the Minor Request Form:
Parental Consent Form (signed by a parent/guardian and submitted in JPEG format)
Birth Certificate
Valid ID of parent/legal guardian
Proof of legal guardianship, if applicable (e.g., adoption papers)
⚠️ Note • Each user is allowed only one verified ShopeePay wallet. • If you already have an existing verified ShopeePay account and create another verified ShopeePay account, all duplicate verified accounts will be restricted. • As required by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, ID verification has a validity period. You’ll receive a push notification one month before expiry and may be asked to reverify. |
