Q: Why can’t I see SPayLater on my app?

A: Currently, SPayLater is only accessible to certain Shopee users.



Q: Why am I unable to complete my SPayLater application? Why does Error 22 keep showing up?

A: Error 22 occurs on some Android mobile phones without Google Play services. Users affected by Error 22 are not able to access the facial verification step in their SPayLater application process.


If you have downloaded Shopee using Google Play, or if Google Play is still available on your device, please do the following:

a) Update Google Play service

b) Please go through the facial verification step in the application process

c) If it doesn’t work, wait for 10 minutes, and ensure that the device has Internet connectivity

d) Restart the device

e) Re-do from Step B


Android mobile phone users without Google Play services cannot finish their SPayLater application process. We apologize for the inconvenience and will notify you once this feature is available for all devices.



Q: How do I pay the late fee for SPayLater?

A: The penalty for late payments is 2.5% - 5.0% monthly, and it is applied to the outstanding loan amount and interest. To pay for this, check your bill on the SPayLater main page for the total outstanding amount and tap “Pay Now”.


If you have an outstanding bill, you cannot checkout through SPayLater until your bill is paid off. Please remember that persistent delays can affect your SPayLater credit limit.


Please note also that late payments can result in:

  • freezing of the Shopee account,

  • restricted use of Shopee vouchers,

  • a record of late payments. 



Q: When is my order considered Complete?

A: Your order is considered complete when you select the “Order Received” in the app or when it is completed automatically through the expiry of the item’s Shopee Guaranteed Period. 



Q: Can I change the billing date?

A: We currently do not support changing billing dates, however, we are looking if we can support this in the future.



Q: Why is my payment not reflected on my SPayLater account?

A: You may encounter some delays in the posting of your payment through certain Payment Centers. Please wait a few minutes and check again if the payment has been pushed through. Late payment postings may lead to additional late fees charged to your SPayLater account. To avoid these, please make sure always to pay at least 2 days before your due date when paying through Payment Centers.



Q: How do I increase my credit limit?

A: Your SPayLater credit limit increases automatically with consistent on-time payments. Keep using SPayLater and paying your bill promptly for greater benefits ahead.



Q: Is my SPayLater bill affected by the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act? 

A: The Bayanihan to Recover as One Act is a one-time nationwide 60-day grace period that shall cover loans availed before September 15, 2020, and with due dates falling from September 15, 2020 to December 31, 2020. The grace period cannot be granted to any new loans availed after the implementation of the Act.


All SPayLater billings will not be affected by the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act as the loans will have been availed after September 15th. However, for any reimplementation or extension of the Act in the future, already existing bills will be eligible for the grace period.
