What does the Pending order status on my SPayLater order mean?

We have updated our system and implemented random order verification to ensure a high level of security.


What does "Pending" mean?

When your SPayLater order shows a Pending status, it means that the transaction is undergoing a verification process. During this time:


  • The amount will NOT be deducted from your SPayLater credit limit yet.

  • Once the transaction/order is approved, then that is the only time it will be deducted from your SPayLater credit limit.


   


You will receive an order confirmation within 24 hours once the verification is complete.




Why did my pending SPayLater transaction/order fail?

These are the following possible reasons why your SPayLater transaction/order failed:


  • Exceeds Credit Limit

The order amount is higher than your approved/available SPayLater credit limit.


  • Facial Verification Error

There may have been an issue during the liveness check. When retrying the transaction, please make sure that:

    • Your face is clearly visible.

    • You're in a well-lit environment.

    • You follow the on-screen instructions properly.


  • Account Restrictions

Your account might be temporarily restricted due to suspicious activity or violations of Shopee's Terms of Service.

If your SPayLater order fails or is rejected:

Try a different payment option. You can choose to pay using another method to complete your purchase.
