Here are some helpful tips to keep you and your account safe from hackers and scammers to prevent fraudulent transactions.

  1. Do not share your password with anyone.

  2. Be vigilant when someone asks for your bank account information.

  3. Be wary or suspicious when you receive text messages with links.

  4. Never forward or share your one-time password (OTP) via email, chat, SMS, or call.

  5. Do not log in to random devices.

  6. Be cautious whenever you receive any random call to avoid possible phishing.

  7. Avoid transactions outside your Shopee App.

  8. Always check your current orders and transactions, especially for COD orders, before receiving an order.

Prevent being scammed by fraudulent users by checking the following:

⚠️ Note

Please be reminded that Shopee will never ask for your password, or bank account details, or forward your OTP via chat, email, SMS, or call. Keep these details safe and your Shopee account secure.

4. We recommend using Shopee supported payment options in all your transactions to keep your payment safe.

5. If you receive messages from Shopee or received a COD order but are unaware of any transactions made, kindly contact our Customer Support Team to validate the information or transactions.

Be on the lookout for suspicious SMS due to a new phishing trend that can potentially infiltrate their Bank Accounts by clicking a link in an unofficial Shopee SMS which will proceed to successfully transfer an amount to the hacker’s account.

If you receive this kind of SMS below that redirects to a link, please do not continue to go on with the website as this is a type of phishing that fraudsters send to the users to potentially retrieve data from their end.
